  • Beyond fantastic. Beyond time that this is happening and I wish you success beyond measure!

  • As long as it’s all private transactions without sales tax!

  • Yes!

  • I would LOVE to see this happen in our downtown! It would be so good for us 🙂

  • Roger Butts

    Thank you! THank you!

  • Yes!! This would absolutely rock!

  • Will this be open to anyone at all? Is it first come first serve for vendors? And is there room to expand if this really takes off?

I toyed around this getting something like this going 18mo ago, but it was just too big of a project for me. I would love to help.

  • I support this idea enthusiastically! Have subscribed to this page/blog to keep informed.

What are the reasons that you want to see a Public Market downtown? What do you want to see included –or excluded–in the Market?

  • Emily Moncheski

Looking forward to it! Sounds perfect!

  • Jan Johnson

umm, yessssss! Of course. Seems like we are well past the question, let’s get this market rolling!

Yes, this is something I would gladly support. I am a Chapter Leader for
the Weston A Price Foundation for the Eastern Plains Region of Colorado, and
find that this would be a welcomed project for those of us that follow
Sally Fallon Morrell, and Weston A. Price Food principles.. It would also be a great help to our vendors that are now only to come once a week, and where the buyer needs to sometimestravel long distances to buy the foods. Here’s more about my chapter:

  • Absolutely, Let’s do it!

  • This would be really neat!

  • I, for one, would do all my shopping there

Love the project, but again architecture and urban design in Colorado
Springs is not inspiring or creative. I understand the existing site and
buildings, but looks like it was designed by a first year architectural
design student. Good luck with the project, though. That area couldn’t
look any worse than it is now…a clean slate area to redevelop . Would like
it to appear more urban and less suburban.

In looking at the blighted area downtown any concept for positive change is good and in terms of the architectural renderings these were the first created to cause conversation – they are a good starting point not ending point. And, if you have thoughts we challenge you to join our task force and share so that all good and positive ideas for change are addressed. Thank you.

Great idea! Downtown needs a market to buy fresh products and would benefit from having an engaging social atmosphere within the Public Market.

  • This is titled the “Surrounding Trolley Concept” and there’s no information on the Trolley. I am working on a Trolley concept and would love to collaborate.

I hope that Colorado Springs will embrace this project and move it along… it is a win win opportunity for all involved and those who will benefit from the fresh produce…

What a wonderful idea! I love it 😀
